Here are Inside Bainbridge recommendations for the weekend of October 30-November 1, 2015:

1. Halloween Double Creature, er, Feature
When: Friday, 7-9 p.m.
Where: Bainbridge Library, 1270 Madison Ave. N
Why: See The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988) directed by the creepy Wes Craven. It’s rated R and runs 88 minutes. Then, if you’re still seated by the end, stay for Body Snatchers (1993), also an R and an eerily similar 87 minutes. Hmmm . . . v e r r r r r y odd.

2. The Death of Brian: A Zombie Odyssey by Ricky Coates
When: Friday, 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Where: Bainbridge Performing Arts 200 Madison Ave. N.
Why: Different Brian, not the live one. This dude is kind of dead, but he comes to life on stage with the help of puppets, philosophy, sci-fi references, fights, blood, sex, and dark laughs. Those last items make it appropriate for ages 18 and older only.

$25. Get tickets here.

3. Adult Halloween Body Singing Workshop
When: Saturday, 9-12 a.m.
Where: Grace Episcopal Church, 8595 Ne Day Rd
Why: I sing the body electrocution. Singers will learn singing and breathing and vowels and the International Phonetic Alphabet, and the instructor, Victoria Roberston, promises to help participants find their inner ghost. Only 10 to 15 spots open for this three-hour workshop. So contact Grace to secure a spot: (206) 842-9997, office@gracehere.org.

$65. Arrive 10 minutes early.

lIttle Tree4. Little Tree, an Autumn Story, at Eagle Harbor Book Co.
When: Saturday, 3-4 p.m.
Where: Eagle Harbor Book Co., 157 Winslow Way
Why: Best-selling author/illustrator Loren Long will be reading from his new book.

5. Trick or Treat Winslow
When:  4-6 p.m.
Where: Winslow
Why: Don’t do this if you’re sensorily sensitive. The throngs, the costumes, the candy, the noise. It’s where Halloween will be Happening.

6. Mom’s Morning Retreat
When: Sunday, 9:30-11 a.m.
Where: Grace Church, 8595 Day Road NE
Why: Moms of all beliefs and backgrounds with kids of all ages are invited to connect to explore the topic “Finding the Sweet Spot,” the place “where everything finds balance and seems to come together across all areas of our lives: within ourselves, in our relationships with our children and others, and in our communities.”

7. Sensory Sunday
When: Sunday, 10-11:30 a.m.
Where: Kids Discovery Museum, 301 Ravine Lane NE
Why: After the Halloween sensory jangle, find relief for your autistic or sensory-challenged kid at a calmer KiDiMu before the museum opens to the general public.
